Accounting, Commerce & Economics tuition
Concept-first, one-on-one online tuition in the subjects I have studied deeply, scored distinctions in, and now teach with the same system that earned them — financial accounting, bookkeeping, commerce, economics and business.
§ Why students struggle with these subjects
In my experience — first as a student, now as a teacher — almost nobody struggles with accounting, commerce or economics because they lack ability. They struggle because they were taught answers before concepts. Rules arrive without reasons, formats without logic, and memorisation replaces understanding. Then the exam changes one small detail, and the memorised answer collapses.
My approach reverses that. We start from why — why every transaction is recorded twice, why the accounting equation must always balance, why a firm’s cost curve shapes its price. Once the logic is in place, the formats, rules and standards become what they always should have been: easy consequences rather than arbitrary commands. Students describe the feeling the same way every time: “it finally makes sense.”
§ What we cover
Financial Accounting — from the first journal entry through ledgers and trial balances to complete financial statements; the full accounting cycle, learned by doing it repeatedly with real transactions. Bookkeeping fundamentals — debits and credits, T-accounts, and the discipline of clean records (the exact material of my AccountingCoach certification). Fundamentals of Commerce — business organisation, trade, banking and the commercial institutions that move an economy. Principles of Economics — demand, supply, markets and the macro picture, connected constantly to current events so the theory sticks. Introduction to Business — the vocabulary and mental models every commerce student needs.
For every subject, I teach toward understanding and the exam — because both matter, and because in commerce subjects the fastest route to marks is, honestly, genuine understanding.
§ How sessions run
Monthly plans are built as daily 1-hour one-on-one online sessions, scheduled around your routine. Every session follows the same rhythm: quick review of yesterday (five minutes, no exceptions — spaced repetition is non-negotiable), the day’s concept built from a real example, guided practice where you do the work while I watch, and a short exit question that proves the concept landed. Parents receive honest progress notes — where their child genuinely improved, and where the next month’s effort should go.
I hold these distinctions in the very subjects I teach: 95/100 in computerised accounting, 92/100 in computer applications to commerce, 90/100 in business mathematics & statistics, and the 2nd position in my college across the entire D.Com programme. I do not mention that to impress — I mention it because it is the evidence that the study system I teach is the one I have actually run.
§ Who this is for
- D.Com / intermediate commerce students preparing for board exams and wanting distinction-level performance
- BS Accounting & Finance (or BBA) students in their foundation accounting and economics courses
- Students switching into commerce from other backgrounds who need a solid, fast on-ramp
- Parents who want honest communication and measurable monthly progress for their child
Let’s fix the concepts, not just the marks.
Book a consultation and we will map exactly where you stand, what the target looks like, and the honest route between them. Monthly plans and pricing are agreed in that first session — always clear, always before anything begins.
