My path into accounting began with a decision after matriculation: to study commerce seriously — and, alongside it, the technology that increasingly runs through every business. I completed a Diploma of Commerce and a Diploma in Information Technology at the same time, and I am now pursuing my BS Accounting & Finance at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar — the leading institute of management education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa — on a route that leads towards the ACCA qualification, whether my eventual contribution lands in government, in private enterprise, or in something of my own.
The combination is deliberate. I think in ledgers and double entry, and I also understand how the software behind modern accounting actually works — a DIT foundation with certified skills in Python, web development and programming. Where FinTech, ERPs and automation are redefining what an accountant does, that dual fluency is the edge I am building on. I read GAAP, IFRS and IAS standards with the same curiosity I bring to emerging ideas like triple-entry accounting on blockchain.
The plan ahead is specific and already in motion: complete my degree with distinction, progress on the ACCA pathway, keep developing LearnFinity into a platform that helps more students every term, and build the kind of expertise that institutions can rely on. Ambition, in my experience, is a plan with deadlines attached — and mine are written down.
